I don't write books.
I'm not an author.
So how did this happen?
I belonged to a writing group earlier this year and each week we had to rotate sending out prompts to each other to inspire our writing for the week. I found this picture and it spoke to me. I knew it was going to be a children's story, I had no idea I would enjoy writing it so much. After a few revisions. I had a solid children's book. But it wasn't until my dad and brothers read it (and really almost forced me to pursue it further), that I decided to go for it. Then I started thinking about my niece, who's almost here! How cool would it be if she could have a bedtime story written by her uncle and if she would like it, maybe others would too. So here I am. I am an author of a children's book with no pictures and no idea what to do next. But I want to honor my mom who was one of the fiest story tellers in my life, and celebrate the birth of my niece. Plus, I don't think my family will give me a chance not to do it.
So here goes...
